Developing the International Vitality and Cohesion Index

The project developed and piloted an internationally comparable Developing the International Vitality and Cohesion (Vici) Index (vitality, attraction/retention, and social cohesion) to complement economic and demographic indicators by capturing the societal sustainability of population growth and diversification. Work proceeded through five phases: mapping existing indices, building the indicator framework and index logic (v1.0), expert/stakeholder validation, pilot calculation and visualisation, and publication (policy brief and a roadmap for further development and maintenance)
