Front page Vantaa’s Jokiniemi vitality study Vantaa’s Jokiniemi vitality study Date: 23.5. –30.6.2022 Information Services and Data Analysis Research, studies In this project MDI examined the impact that the presence of private sector actors in the area would have on the traction and vitality of the planned Jokiniemi area near Vantaa’s Tikkurila railway station. The review summarised the characteristics of the Jokiniemi area. MDI summarised previous studies on the area, examined job development in seven reference areas in Vantaa, Espoo, Turku and Tampere and described the accessibility of the Jokiniemi area, supplementing this with statistical analysis. In addition, a number of representatives of the private sector were interviewed about the attractiveness of the Vantaa area. Keywords: Regional development Vitality
