Front page References A sustainable digital industry strategy process A sustainable digital industry strategy process Date: 27.2. –30.12.2020 Strategies and programmes MDI facilitated a Sustainable Digital Industry strategy process for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland. The process provided a shared vision for the future and a roadmap for sustainability, promoting digitalisation in Finnish industry, in addition it also specified the goals and actions necessary for a ’digital-ready’ Finland. As part of the process, MDI organised workshops. In addition, the understanding of the need for sustainable digitalisation in the manufacturing industry was deepened by interviewing ten companies, representing both the most successful large international companies and smaller SMEs. The result was a strategy for the sustainable digitalisation of manufacturing industry, including monitoring indicators and proposals for action. Keywords: Digitalisation Industries RDI
