Front page References Utilisation of ridges in tourism Utilisation of ridges in tourism Date: 30.11. –31.12.2021 Research, studies The aim of the work was to prepare a preliminary survey of the Kangasala ridges from the point of view of tourism. First, the ridges of the Kangasala were identified from a scientific point of view and the information on the ridges of Kangasala was collected using a map presentation and a verbal description. An overview of the existing material (maps, non-fiction etc.) and a description of the ridge formations in Kangasala as part of the ridge formations in Pirkanmaa and neighbouring regions were made in the work. In addition, the work collected information on ridges and development related to ridges, for example in the regional plan. In the second phase, an overview was made of how the ridges are visible and how they have been utilised in tourism in different municipalities. In this context, development opportunities for the development of ridge-related tourism and marketing were highlighted. Keywords: Environment Vitality
