The work produces concrete development activities, new ways of doing things and peer learning. There are two main themes in the definition of problems: the balance of growth and the environment and the planning and implementation of space use. The urban planning solution is involved in the search for Espoo, Helsinki, Karkkila, Kemi, Oulu and Turku. Two parallel projects are implemented by a consortium led by MDI and Demos Helsinki, of which Demos leads the urban planning challenge package and MDI the well-being and social sustainability challenge package.
