Henri Helve

Hello, from a growing city expert! I look at cities and regions through a wide lens. I graduated from Tampere university with a Master’s in Public Administration, specialising in city and regional leadership. My Master’s thesis discussed the MAL-agreements as a way of engendering public companionship and their use as a guidance tool between central government and the region and within the region. The thesis was awarded the best Master’s thesis of the year prize in 2022, during the administration and municipal science days, in Kuopio. Before starting at MDI, I worked with municipal digiservice renewal and central government’s city politics initiatives as well as working as a researcher at Tampere university with subjects related to city and event security and the dynamics of city regions renewal. I will continue to work extensively with subjects related to city politics in the future.
