Regional Analysis and Operational Landscape Study of Companies in the Business Tampere Automotive and Vehicle Technology Cluster

The Tampere region has a strong and diverse business ecosystem in which the automotive and vehicle technology cluster plays a key role. The goal of the Tampere automotive and vehicle technology ecosystem is to strengthen the region’s position as a centre of excellence in the vehicle industry, both nationally and internationally.

MDI conducted a study aimed at mapping the current level of internationalisation among automotive industry and mobile work machine technology suppliers in the Tampere region, as well as identifying international market opportunities. The study also provided insights into companies’ successes and challenges in internationalisation, and offered perspectives on how best to support their global growth.

The objective was to enhance understanding of the factors that will enable the future development of the cluster in a way that best responds to the internationalisation needs of the companies and stakeholders involved.
