Front page Statistical and spatial data analysis about the national and regional importance of Major Highway 5 Statistical and spatial data analysis about the national and regional importance of Major Highway 5 Date: 1.5. –16.6.2018 Information Services and Data Analysis Strategies and programmes MDI conducts a statistical and spatial data analysis for the Regional Councils of Southern and Northern Savo about the national and regional importance of Major Highway 5. The aim of the study is to focus on connections between regional development and traffic connections, traffic policy and accessibility bearing in mind that decisions and solutions related to traffic often create positive multiplier effects. The study consists of a document analysis, statistical analysis and a spatial data analysis. The results are presented in a visual slide presentation in June 2018.
