Front page Participation in the analysis of municipalities’ statutory tasks Participation in the analysis of municipalities’ statutory tasks Date: 1.2. –30.9.2017 Research, studies Strategies and programmes The statutory duties of municipalities will change due to health, social services and regional government reform. The analysis will focus on those statutory duties regarding which municipalities most commonly expand the content and the level of service due to own decisions. The aim is also to produce comprehensive quantitative and qualitative data and an analysis of the situation of each chosen municipality with regard to the selected statement of tasks and services. The study also produces an updated estimate of the relationship between local government and counties after reforms. The study aims at producing benefits to national and municipal decision-making. The lead partner in the study is Perlacon Ltd. MDI conducts the municipality survey and participates in formulating of the conclusions. The work is due in September 2017. Keywords: Governance
