Front page References Evaluation of the transport strategy of Southwest Finland Evaluation of the transport strategy of Southwest Finland Date: 1.9. –30.11.2018 Evaluations Strategies and programmes MDI evaluated the transport strategy of Southwest Finland together with Linea. The strategy was finished in 2014 and thereafter, implementation of several actions in the plan have proceeded. Also, there had been many changes in the operational environment, so it was necessary to evaluate the need to update the goals and actions. At the same time, legislative changes and administrative reforms brought changes in the organisation and content of the transport system design. The regional council of Southwest Finland and the ELY Centre of Southwest Finland commissioned a consultancy work to evaluate the current transportation strategy. MDI was responsible for analysing the operating environment and organising workshops. Keywords: Land use, Housing and Transport
