Development of the innovation ecosystem network of small and middle-sized cities

The development of the small and middle-sized cities’ innovation ecosystem network was part of a wider project complex dealing with the development of these cities’ innovation ecosystems. This project was the first part of a broader project package which also included the preparation of the university strategy and the preparation of the network’s future strategy (MDI). Nine cities participated in the development of the innovation ecosystem network, four of which are conducting the survey with their own resources. MDI was responsible not only for the survey in five of the participating cities, but also for guidance and reporting across all nine participating cities. In the context of the project, the current status and development possibilities of the cities’ innovation ecosystems were examined in the form of document analysis, interviews and a workshop.
