Front page References Strategic sparring of the northern growth zone Strategic sparring of the northern growth zone Date: 1.10. –15.12.2021 Strategies and programmes MDI is updating the Northern Growth Zone strategy and committing actors to its implementation. There have been many changes in the operational environment of the zone. Future network cooperation in the Northern Growth Zone is required as questions currently remain over its direction, choices and the likely available resources available to it. In the context of this strategy work, MDI also considers the functionality of zone memberships by reviewing current and potential future network members. In addition, we also assess whether the current network cooperation agreement and the way in which it is organised remains optimal or whether changes may be required. In order to obtain answers to these questions, the work includes – an update of the situation picture – clarification of various strategic points, – an action plan to address the points raised – a strengthening of commitments and the organisation of resourcing.
