Front page References Regional analysis of the restructuring area and its companies’ resilience Regional analysis of the restructuring area and its companies’ resilience Date: 11.11. –31.1.2021 Information Services and Data Analysis Research, studies MDI carried out a regional analysis for the FOUNDATION (Building Regional Resilience to Industrial Structural Changes) project funded by the Interreg Europe programme on behalf of the Kerttu Saalisti Institute of the University of Oulu. The regional analysis examined the resilience and potential of the Nivala-Haapajärvi area from the perspective of exporting and growth-seeking companies in important industries in the region. The regional analysis examined the factors related to the competitiveness and resilience of the target companies. In addition, the goals and measures of the companies as well as the challenges related to maintaining competitiveness and strengthening growth were examined.
