Front page Project evaluation for Karstulan Kehitys Project evaluation for Karstulan Kehitys Date: 24.5. –30.6.2022 Evaluations During the period 2017-2019, the development company Karstulansetu implemented the Vetovoimaa north Central Finland project in the Saarijärvi-Viitasaari area. The project received funding from the Mainland Finland Rural Programme 2014-2020. The purpose of the project was to map the marketing of the municipalities in the region and to discover the basis for regional marketing cooperation. In this work, three projects were evaluated which together formed the EKKO project complex. The projects sought a solution to the central challenges of the region, i.e. the supply of skilled labour and the decreasing number of working-age residents.1) Business service system for creating new business – Invest in business2) Talents for growth and internationalisation – Come and do 3) Invest in Staff – Invest in people.
