Front page Järvenpää’s regional forecast Järvenpää’s regional forecast Date: 1.10. –30.10.2022 Information Services and Data Analysis MDI modelled Järvenpää’s future population development in two scenarios during the period 2022-2040, both for the entire municipality and for the internal sub-regions of the municipality. The work began with a brief review of the already realised development. In the forecast, two different scenarios modelled the impact of housing production at different times on the population development of the municipality. In the sub-region level forecast, the future population development within the municipality was modelled by taking into account the characteristics of the different sub-regions as well as the effects of the amount and structure of future housing production. The end result was a sub-regional level forecast which is used, for example, in the planning of educational services, municipal finances and housing production.
