Interregional innovation strategy

MDI wrote an innovation strategy for Southern Ostrobothnia, Ostrobothnia and Central Ostrobothnia regions. The strategy was based on interregional knowhow and technology maps that were drawn by assessing regional strengths, economies and research areas. To support the strategy process MDI made a survey and interviewed key actors to weave a network within the three regions. The strategy process was based on the analysis that recognized common innovation activities. MDI carried out the study in cooperation with the Urban and Regional Studies Group Sente at the University of Tampere. The interregional innovation strategy was due in June 2010. MDI helped in the implementation phase until the end of 2011.
