Front page Expert Services for the Development of Fishing and Wilderness Tourism Expert Services for the Development of Fishing and Wilderness Tourism Date: 13.10. –31.12.2025 Strategies and programmes The project Development of Fishing and Wilderness Tourism in Central Ostrobothnia aims to strengthen the conditions for fishing and wilderness tourism by developing services, infrastructure, and cooperation networks among tourism operators. As part of the project, a regional development plan for fishing and wilderness tourism was prepared. As part of the project, MDI conducted expert interviews, a network survey, and two workshops focusing on the contents of the development plan. The materials produced by MDI supported the Kaustinen sub-region in preparing the development plan. MDI’s graphic designer, Anssi Kumpula, designed the visual look of the development plan. Vera Hirvonen from FCG’s urban planning team acted as the tourism expert for the project. Keywords: Regional development Tourism
