Front page Competitiveness Analysis and Future Scenarios for Rovaniemi Competitiveness Analysis and Future Scenarios for Rovaniemi Date: 6.1. –18.5.2025 Information Services and Data Analysis Strategies and programmes The objective of the work was to create an analytical and forward-looking view of the development directions of Rovaniemi’s business activities and to identify opportunities through which Rovaniemi can distinguish itself and strengthen its growth potential at both the national and international levels. The competitiveness analysis consisted of three parts: 1) analysis and comparison based on the EVP index, 2) complementary statistical analysis, and 3) interviews with key stakeholders to supplement the statistical data. Based on the competitiveness analysis and two workshops, three alternative future scenarios were developed for Rovaniemi. In addition, recommendations were prepared to support the preparation of Rovaniemi’s growth programme and vitality policy. Keywords: Growth Industries Regional development
