Front page Statistical review of the vitality of ‘surrounding’ municipalities Statistical review of the vitality of ‘surrounding’ municipalities Date: 5.5. –4.9.2025 Information Services and Data Analysis MDI produced a statistical analysis for the ‘Network of Surrounding Municipalities’ highlighing the vitality of those municipalities situated adjacent to Finland’s city areas. The review aimed to highlight and synthesise the importance of these municipalities within the national landscape. The information service covered indicators on population, jobs and employment, as well as construction and housing. The final deliverables comprised reports in both PowerPoint and Power BI formats.
