Review of Cooperation Models and Identification of Needs for Change in the Turku Core Urban Area in terms of Land Use, Housing and Transport

MDI mapped and examined the current forms of cooperation in the Turku core urban area and identified the potential need for changes from the perspectives of land use, housing, and transport. The objective was to determine how the necessary municipalities in the region’s joint municipal authority should be defined, which municipalities should be included in the authority, and how their cooperation on land use, housing and transport (MAL) could be enhanced. In addition, the study reviewed best practices related to MAL themes in the Tampere urban area.
