The KEINO Competence Centre for Sustainable and Innovative Public Procurement successfully brings together key actors and expertise

As the evaluation notes, the KEINO Center is a major national player promoting sustainable and innovative public procurement and bringing together the key actors in the theme together with their expertise.

The KEINO Center has successfully implemented the goals set for its operations. It is however still too early to assess the impact and results, as they will only emerge in the longer term. According to the evaluation’s recommendations, KEINO should in future clarify its role and clarify its service promise to various parties, especially in relation to procurement units and companies. In addition, stronger attention needs to be paid to the dissemination and scaling of good practices and the promotion of pioneering procurement. The roles of the actors in the network should also be better identified in order to attain the stated objectives of the center of excellence.

MDI carried out the assessment for the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. The evaluation focused on the development of operations and in particular the network-like operating model. The Ministry will start developing KEINO in the autumn of 2021.
