Front page References Updated population projection for Nokia Updated population projection for Nokia Date: 15.2. –28.2.2023 Information Services and Data Analysis MDI updated population projections for city of Nokia. The update was second update to the population projection originally made in the year 2020. In the project the projection was updated with the most recent population statistics and trends in recent years. Also, the planned future housing production was updated, due to the importance of future housing production for the city’s future growth. The original projection contained multiple scenarios for future population development, the updated projection updated the assumptions in all the scenarios. According to the updated projection, city’s growth will be faster than in the previous version, due to increased migration to the city. On the other hand, the development of birth rates has decreased even further, weakening the development of children’s age groups.
