Front page Study on the Renewal of Petäjävesi Municipality’s Official Organisation Study on the Renewal of Petäjävesi Municipality’s Official Organisation Date: 18.8. –16.9.2025 Research, studies MDI conducted a study to support the reform of the management arrangements in Petäjävesi Municipality’s education and wellbeing services. The aim of the study was to provide information to support the implementation of the reform and the execution of the council’s decision. The study sought to create a comprehensive understanding of the needs related to the renewed administrative organisation, the key factors to consider in the reform, and the experiences and applicable ideas from other municipalities. As part of the study, MDI interviewed elected officials as well as managers and staff in the municipality’s education and wellbeing services. In addition, a comparative analysis was carried out on three municipalities similar to Petäjävesi that have addressed organisational leadership in different ways. The results were compiled into a PowerPoint report summarising the main findings from the interviews and the comparative analysis, along with recommendations for further development.
