Front page Study on municipal restructuring in the Kainuu region Study on municipal restructuring in the Kainuu region Date: 1.8.2014 –25.5.2015 Research, studies With Janne Antikainen in the lead, MDI Team studied the municipal restructuring in the Kainuu region by the end of June 2015. The main idea of the work was to strengthen the vitality and cooperation no matter what the decisions based on the study are. The municipalities of Kainuu received tools for working on their vitality and it was possible to build more compatible, attractive and funny Kainuu based on the work. The most important question was to define what the municipality is now and in the future when the world changes around it. The work was due in May 2015. Keywords: Vitality
