Front page References Strategy update of Sastamala Strategy update of Sastamala Date: 28.6. –30.11.2021 Strategies and programmes MDI assisted the city of Sastamala in its strategy update by conducting a statistical analysis of the development of the city in the 2010s and, in addition, comparing the development of Sastamala with a number of other reference cities. The statistical analysis was presented for the city council in early September. A survey was also be conducted aimed at all residents, asking for views on the city’s strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities, as well as ideas on what should be the key goals for the council. The results of the survey were discussed in the council’s strategy seminar, after which the contents of the strategy was finalised together with the city management team.
