Situation analysis to support the development of an English-language growth learning pathway in the Tampere city region

MDI conducted a study for the Tampere city region that provided a comprehensive overview of the needs, target groups, and implementation options for an English-language growth and learning pathway. The work covered the full service continuum from early childhood education to upper secondary education, as well as leisure and recreational services.

The study analysed the current situation, future alternatives, and conditions for implementation using statistical data, document analysis, surveys, and interviews. In addition, national and international good practices were examined through benchmarking and case analyses. The key benefit of the project was the creation of a shared, up-to-date knowledge base to support a regional solution. The study delivered concrete recommendations and options for developing an English-speaking growth and education pathway for Tampere city region.
