Front page References Research on the functionality and impacts of work try-out Research on the functionality and impacts of work try-out Date: 8.8.2018 Research, studies Work try-out is service to support the employment of unemployed customers of Public employment and business services (i.e. TE Services). A total of 40 000 customers participate in the service annually. The person in the work try-out receives unemployment benefit or basic daily allowance and expense allowance. Therefore, the person in the work try-out is free of charge to the employer. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has appointed MDI to carry out a research focusing on analysing the functionality of the work try-out concept as a whole, considering the benefits and opportunities for the individuals and for the organiser of the try-out. MDI works in co-operation with Melkior Ltd, and the research is due by the end of 2018. Keywords: Employment
