The consortium renewed its innovation programme during summer 2013 and MDI helped in the process. The previous innovation programme had strengthened the cooperation between Lappish univeristies and other actors. The purpose of the new programme was to define the role of universities in the the strategy of smart specialization of Lapland and strengthen the international cooperation. The contents and objectives were defined during a 24h strategy camp in June 2013. Keywords: RDI Smart specialisation
