Regional Data Package for the Needs of the Construction Industry

MDI produced a regional data package tailored to the needs of the construction industry, compiling key statistics related to regional development, vitality, and construction into an easily digestible and visualised information set.

The work covered all 18 regions of mainland Finland and included four thematic areas: 1) Population development and forecast, 2) Workforce and employment, 3) Households and housing markets, 4) Repair debt, renovation investments, and energy efficiency. The objective of the data package was to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state and developmental trajectory of vitality and operating environments across different regions.

The approach was partly comparative: the data package compares the position and situation of each region’s central city (or cities) and the rest of the region relative to the national average, while also identifying regional development disparities.
