Reform of the subsidy system of the City of Lahti’s vitality services sector

MDI carried out a reform of the subsidy system of the City of Lahti’s vitality services sector, with the aim of harmonizing and clarifying subsidy practices across the entire service area. The work analysed current subsidy processes, criteria, and decision-making models, and identified key development needs. As the final output, a common subsidy regulation and a unified set of criteria for different types of subsidies was developed, taking into account governing regulations and the city’s strategic objectives. The study supports the City of Lahti in ensuring a goal-oriented, transparent, and impactful subsidy system.
