Ranua Wind Power Programme

The purpose of the Ranua Wind Power Programme was to establish a cohesive objective for wind power construction in the municipality of Ranua over the long term. The programme presented clear criteria and guidance for the construction of wind farms. Several wind farms were planned for the Ranua municipality area, making it necessary to investigate and possibly establish principles for the placement of wind farms within the municipality.

The work involved gathering initial data, creating scenario options, conducting a survey, organising workshops, and drafting the wind power programme. A specialist from MDI participated in the participatory phases, namely the survey.

The project manager was Antti Kumpula from FCG. Additionally, Erika Brusila, Sini Ollila, Jan Tvrdy, and Tarja Outila from FCG also participated in the work.
