Front page Pornainen Municipal Strategy Update Pornainen Municipal Strategy Update Date: 29.4. –30.9.2025 Strategies and programmes The Municipality of Pornainen launched its strategy renewal process in 2025 with the aim of updating its current municipal strategy to better reflect a changing operating environment, economic realities, and evolving human resource needs. The strategy work, facilitated by MDI, was carried out in phases over the spring and autumn of 2025. It included a background analysis, an open futures survey for residents and stakeholders, and a strategy workshop for the municipal council. Key themes of the process included balancing the municipal budget by 2027, strengthening the municipality’s attractiveness as an employer, and highlighting Pornainen’s identity as a small, resident-oriented community. The strategy work focused on building a shared vision around strategic goals, which were refined in cooperation with the executive team and elected officials.
