Front page Population Projection for Lapinjärvi Population Projection for Lapinjärvi Date: 23.10. –30.11.2024 Information Services and Data Analysis MDI produced a population projection for the municipality of Lapinjärvi for the period 2024-2040, modelling the population development by language groups. The forecast focuses particularly on the development of school-age children and assesses the impact of birth rate variations on future age cohorts. The work is based on an analysis of historical population trends which forms the foundation for realistic future projections considering migration, birth rates and mortality. The final outcome was a detailed population projection for Lapinjärvi, presented by single-year age groups, language groups and gender. The report also includes a summary and conclusions interpreting the likelihood of different development scenarios. Keywords: Population and migration
