Front page Population forecast update for the City of Iisalmi up to 2040 Population forecast update for the City of Iisalmi up to 2040 Date: 1.10. –7.11.2024 Information Services and Data Analysis MDI updated the sub-area population forecast prepared for the City of Iisalmi in 2020. The updated forecast is based on the realised population development of the 2010s and 2020s and analyses future development, particularly from the perspectives of changes in age, language and nationality structures. The work included an analysis of the future development described by the forecast. Additionally, the analysis interpreted the impacts of differences between scenarios and the factors influencing their realisation. Finally, a summary and conclusions on the municipality’s population structure development under different scenarios was provided. Keywords: Population and migration
