Front page Kymenlaakso Futures Workshop 2025 – Attracting and Retaining International Talent Kymenlaakso Futures Workshop 2025 – Attracting and Retaining International Talent Date: 1.4. –30.4.2025 Workshops, webinars, lectures, camps The Kymenlaakso Futures Workshop 2025 was organised as part of the Kareva project, which aimed to strengthen the capacity of regional companies to recruit and integrate international talent into the Kymenlaakso labour market. The event took place on 24 April 2025 at Keisarinsatama in Kotka and centred around a foresight-themed workshop facilitated by MDI. Participants—including regional businesses, educational institutions, and public sector actors—worked in small groups to explore Kymenlaakso’s attractiveness to international professionals and to envision a desirable future for 2035. The workshop outputs were compiled into a report by MDI, providing insights that support the region’s strategic foresight efforts and the development of the forthcoming regional programme.
