Facilitation of Ministerial Events

The availability of labour is already the most significant obstacle to the growth of companies. In the autumn of 2021, Labour Minister Tuula Haatainen launched the Työvoimatiekartta (Labour Road map) -project in order to ensure the better availability of labour for all industries across Finland. In the road map work led by experts from the Ministry of Labour and the Economy, representatives of eight different industries considered, in their own industry groups, how the availability of skilled workers can be improved.

MDI facilitated the regional conferences organised by Minister Haatainen in Seinäjoki on February 16, 2023, and again in Vaasa on March 14, 2023. The events included speeches from national actors from the Continuing Learning and Employment Service Centre and the Ministry, as well as the region’s own speeches from companies, cities and actors in the education sector.
