Front page References Evaluation of the effectiveness of structural fund projects in Western Finland Evaluation of the effectiveness of structural fund projects in Western Finland Date: 21.4. –31.12.2023 Evaluations MDI evaluated the effectiveness of structural fund projects financed in the programme period 2014-2020 in the region of seven provinces (Southwest Finland, Pirkanmaa, Central Finland, South Ostrobothnia, Ostrobothnia, Satakunta and Central Ostrobothnia) belonging to the structural fund ELY-centre region of Western Finland. The assessment was carried out on a provincial basis. The evaluation analysed the effects of structural fund activities carried out during the programme period from the perspectives of evaluating the overall and qualitative effectiveness of the project activities. Effectiveness was examined in particular from the point of view of the effects caused by wider project entities. The evaluation involved an analysis of project information from the EURA system and key documents of the provincial level, an electronic survey and interviews.
