Front page References Concept for leading cooperation in Suupohja region Concept for leading cooperation in Suupohja region Date: 1.3.2017 –31.12.2018 Strategies and programmes SEK is a federation of municipalities in the Suupohja region (Isojoki, Karijoki, Kauhajoki, Teuva) focusing on business and regional development. SEK is developing the competitiveness of Suupohja region by supporting and sparring startups and SMEs, carrying out regional development projects, and taking care of regional lobbying. SEK is also coordinating the regional cooperation between municipalities and other public sector organisations. In the summer 2016, municipalities in the region launched a regional strategy outlining the joint vision and commitment to cooperation and development. MDI will provide SEK with support and sparring to design concept for leading regional cooperation in the coming years. In addition, MDI will help SEK to launch hands-on cooperation in specific themes. This project is partly funded by Tekes and the work will continue until the end of 2018. Keywords: Industries
