MDI Team Strengthens

MDI is strengthened again for the whole width of the profile of the firm when we get excellent experts for both rural and urban policy and to regional reform. MSc Elina Auri, who has 10 years of  experience and knowledge of evaluations, studies and research, moves from Ramboll to MDI in August. Elina is an all-around expert, with closest interest in rural and especially archipelago issues. Around we go, one will be: Elina is a former colleague from Ministry of Employment and the Economy to some of us.

Ilppo Soininvaara, BSc from the University of Helsinki, will work from June to August on regional reform project, collecting information about the Uusimaa regional development system, which will be empirical material for his thesis. Ilppo is interested in addition to regional development system – in urban questions from structural factors to political regional science. Ilppo is a son of MDI’s urban advisor Osmo Soininvaara, one of the most recognised urban debater in Finland.
