Front page News News MDI supports the preparation of the Helsinki integration programme MDI supports the preparation of the Helsinki integration programme 10.8.2021 In the autumn, MDI will support the preparatory work for the City of Helsinki’s integration programme (2021–2025). The Integration Act regulates the tasks of municipalities, one of which is to draw up an integration programme. Municipal integration programmes aim to promote the integration of immigrants and strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation. The City of Helsinki’s ongoing integration programme was last created for the period 2017–2021. The goal of integration programmes is to enable Helsinki residents with a foreign background to better access positions that match their skills, education and abilities. The preparatory work, which starts now, will assess the ongoing programme and provide guidelines for the programme for the new term which will be drawn up in broad cooperation between the various sectors and stakeholders. Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
