Front page News News Kymenlaakso’s smart specialisation strategy is being updated Kymenlaakso’s smart specialisation strategy is being updated 17.8.2020 Kymenlaakso’s smart specialisation strategy (RIS3) will be updated during 2020. In addition, the scenarios produced in connection with the extensive scenario work carried out in 2018–2019 will be updated to take into account the Covid-19 pandemic that broke out in 2020. In the first phase, MDI will conduct a background analysis of both the RIS3 strategy and the scenarios, using both qualitative and quantitative data. In the second phase of the work, the RIS3 strategy and scenarios will be updated in an interactive process with stakeholders in the region. During the process, three stakeholder workshops will be organised to identify and specify update needs and to identify necessary development actions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
