Front page News News Development Day kicked off the strategy work of the University Consortium of Seinäjoki Development Day kicked off the strategy work of the University Consortium of Seinäjoki 23.11.2021 The University Consortium of Seinäjoki has started a review of its research and education strategy. As a starting point for the strategy work, MDI together with the University Consortium, organised a development day in which the entire University Consortium of Seinäjoki community was invited to discuss issues relating to the university centre in the post-pandemic period. The strategy aims for implementation by 2030. The strategy work also considers the reform of University Consortium operations and the development of new functional concepts in research, education and social interaction. The development day was held in Seinäjoki in the inspiring premises of the art and culture centre Kaleva Barn. For the development day, ideas were collected in advance from all those working in the units of the University Consortium and the Southern Ostrobothnia University Association. The advance task dealt with the directions of university centre activities in the post-pandemic period, future directions and development needs. Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
