In the Ministry of the Environment I lead a unit responsible for land use planning, land policy and regional planning. I have developed the partnership between municipalities and the state related to land use, housing and transportation. As chairman of the board of A-Kruunu Ltd, a special ‘assignment company’ owned by the State, I am well aware of the twists and turns of housing policy. I am also interested in cultural environment issues and the sustainable development of the built environment.
