Leader groups are preparing a strategy for the next programming period

MDI supports the Leader groups in Suupohja, Päijät-Häme and Pohjois-Kymenlaakso in their strategy work for the next programming period (2021–2027). The key issues in planning the local development strategy for the new programming period are: what the Leader group should fund and develop in the forthcoming programming period and what role the Leader group will play as a local and regional developer.

The sparring of strategy work is tailored to the needs of each Leader group, including e.g. preparing descriptions of the current state of the regions, planning the strategy process together with the group, mapping the needs of the region from stakeholders and group governments, facilitating participatory workshops, interactive SWOT analyses and ensuring the coherence of the strategy.
