Urban policy returns to Turku #cities2038

The first City Forum in Finland was held in the first town in Finland in Turku in 1998. Welcome back to Turku, to celebrate the 20-year City Forum in Turku, on 29-30 August 2018.

How are cities being developed with information? How do universities and cities cooperate? How about building the future vitality of cities?

Michael Parkinson, Willem van Winde and Markku Wilenius will discuss about the past and coming. The voices of urban cities are  exposed by Minna Arve, Oulu’s Päivi Laajala and Lahti’s Pekka Timonen, Timo Koivisto from Jyväskylä and Tytti Määttä from Kuhmo. Mari Vaattovaara, Sampo Ruoppila and Jussi Jauhiainen will share their views about the use of research data to urban development. The forum also presents the TEM’s intensifying multi-faceted urban policies. Discussions are spurred by Anna Sorainen.
