Front page News News Two new players in the team Two new players in the team 5.2.2018 MDI acquired two new reinforcements in the playing line-up as M.Sc. Jaakko Huttunen and M.Phil Sari Rannanpää joined the team in the beginning of February. Jaakko holds a Masters degree in Planning Geography. Most recently he worked in Central Uusimaa (Helsinki Region North) focusing on the development and future of housing in the region. He has also worked as a trainee in the city of Vantaa and in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. Sari has been part of MDI’s team for some time as an external advisor focusing on regional development. Sari changes her role from an advisor to a specialist and continues taking responsibility in the development of rural issues and the evaluation of rural development programme. Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
