19.5.2015 MDI evaluates National Network on Land use, Housing and Transportation

MDI is excited to evaluate the National Network on Land use, Housing and Transportation (LHT). Roots of the network are very familiar to evaluators, as it was launched as one of the theme networks in Cohesion and Competitiveness (COCO) programme in 2010 (evaluators were that time responsible for national development programmes in the Ministry of Employment and the Economy). Since 2012 – which is starting point in the evaluation – The LHT Network has supported the cooperation in urban policy between the central state and 16 cities and city-regions in Finland (http://www.mal-verkosto.fi/in_english). Evaluation will focus on evaluating the success of networking and will develop ideas on more long-term development work. Evaluation will be carried out by the end of the August. Tampere City Region, organisation responsible for the coordination of the network, has ordered the evaluation.
