MDI Asks Municipalities about Prospects for Growth and Development

In Finland, municipality reform has been under construction during the last years. MDI is irritated about the fact that development and growth of (and in) municipalities has been hidden under services in the discussion of municipality structure. Before one splits the cake, it needs to risen first. MDI wants to be escorting Finland to new rise. Therefore, we have launched a broad online survey to all political decision makers and top officials in all Finnish municipalities to gain perspectives on growth and development. We want to initiate discussion on growth policy of municipalities and how it reflects to municipality structure. Information and facts based on the survey will be passed on to national, regional, and local actors. National results will be published in October, but first tasters will be available at the Kuntamarkkinat event, where we join our partner Mapita’s stand.
