Knowledge Base for Housing, City of Hyvinkää

MDI compiled a knowledge base for the City of Hyvinkää to support the updating of its housing policy guidelines. The aim was to provide an up-to-date picture of population and housing trends and assess future housing needs based on the city’s approved population projection. The work included an analysis of past population trends, migration and housing, a review of housing preferences among different population groups and how they are changing, modelling of household composition and housing production needs, and reporting and presentation of the findings. Hyvinkää’s development was also compared with selected municipalities.
