Front page Population projection for Salo Population projection for Salo Date: 16.9. –31.10.2025 Based on its 2025 population forecast, MDI developed a city-level population forecast for the City of Salo. As part of the concise assignment, MDI first provided a brief overview of Salo’s population development to date and the key changes that have taken place, including changes in internal migration and fertility rates. This review of past population development provides the framework for assessing future trends. Based on the analysis of past population development, Salo’s future population trends were presented across four scenarios and broken down by age group. The report highlighted the key anticipated changes in population development, the factors influencing these changes, and trends among key age groups. At the conclusion of the assignment, the report on past population development and the population forecast data for Salo were delivered to the client. Keywords: Population and migration
